Sunbonnet Sue
My grandmother's Valentine!! My grandmother (who will be soon be 91) is an award-winning quilter so I took one of her old quilt patterns and made a card with it. The Sunbonnet Sue is cut by hand, trimmed with lace, and the bonnet is popped. Framed her in a Nestie, embossed with Swiss dots and ink. The background is George Hearts...for the patchwork one, I cut 1 1/4" squares, cut on the diagonal, made a block and cut the heart out of it. Sentiment is a sticker from Target.

I LOVE it!!! My mom, grandma, great grandma, aunts, etc, etc are all quilters too. I still have a quilt my great grandma made me when I was a baby with Sunbonnet Sue. It's fantastic...

I love this card!!! I wonder how long it takes you to make some of these great cards.
I have been enjoying looking at all your cards and pages tonight. Makes me wish I had time and patience to try this myself. However, I think I will just enjoy seeing your's.
