Punched Tulips and Gingham

I love gingham and one of the sketchs at RAQ's challenge on the Cricut board this week just made me think of it.   I used the Stampin' Up XL bird punch for the tulips (just the wing....and stems).   Easy card, but I love that gingham look!

Pastel Easter Bunny

This is the end of the Easter cards for me....I think! Started with a fantastic sketch at Totally Papercrafts, and I used a bunny from Paper Doll Dress Up, cut with real dial size, scalloped oval from Nesties, 4 squares from Nesties, and all scrap paper.  Added some flowers, some buttons and bow......    This card will also work for the Fantabulous Cricut challenge:  pastel Easter cards.

Easter Bunny and Egg - High Hopes Challenge #68

Still having fun learning to color images....this one is from High Hopes Stamps.   Added some *old* paper that I got about 100 sheets of from Sam's club 2 years ago....added a neat background paper from DCWV.....backed my image with a Paisley flower button...and edged it out with purple trim.

Easter Flowers

The challenge at Paper Popsicles was to use this adorable little Cheeky Radish stamp on a card.  Love, love these little bunnies....soooo sweet.   This card is also going to work for I Love Digi and Frosted Designs this week.  And it fits right in with Bitten by the Bug2 and their spring contest as well.

Colored it with pencils and Gamsol (still learning....) added some Walk In My Garden flowers that matched the image perfectly....tied them up with some floss and added buttons. The card is embossed with Swiss Dots and my paper is scraps.  The sketch for the card is from RAQ's challenge on the Cricut board.

Sock Monkey Birthday Card

I came up with this sock monkey design over a year ago for a layout, but I've never put him on a card.  He seemed to fit several challenges this week so I pulled the instructions back out.   The full details can be found on my scrapbooking blog here.

Paper is fabric from Love, Else....border and sentiment are stamped from a new pkg. I got for $1 at Big Lots yesterday.  Balloons are from Everyday Paper Dolls.

This design fits several challenges:

Cricut Cardz Challenge  make a child's birthday card

Fantabulous Cricut  use the word birthday and balloons

Cookin' It Up with Katie use fabric (the striped background is adhered fabric paper from Love, Else) use decorative edge scissors and your favorite technique (paper piecing)

Raq's Challenge on the cricut msg board (sketch)

Use Your Paper Dolls Cartridge to create something (cricut msg board)

He's going to be my daughter's birthday card....she loves sock monkeys.

Happiness Always- Totally Papercrafts #7

Sweet little bird is my new 2-step bird punch from Stampin' Up.  I'm gonna like this one.   The paper is from the scrap pile and I've long since forgotten the name.  Added brown ribbon, some rhinestones, and a Stampin' Up sentiment (a freebie!).  I'm entering this in Totally Papercrafts' challenge this week:   Wings.

Easter Fun

Still workin' on the Easter cards....and using those colored images. This week-end's sketch at Practical Scrappers was perfect for this little bunny.  Another High Hopes Stamp...colored with pencils and gamsol and cut out (didn't mean to do that....but spilled something on the square background...)  Used a 4" Doodlecharms egg to back him...embossed with stripes.  Used some scrap Christmas paper (yep!) and embossed (Swiss Dots) green cardstock.  Added yellow/white striped ribbon and orange ribbon.   The purple trim is punched with a Stampin' Up punch.  The sentiment is letter stickers from Big Lots $1 pile...placed on a white rectangle inked with green.

Bunny with Tulips

I love spring....and I'm enjoying working on the Easter cards.   This little fella is from High Hopes Stamps...colored with pencils and gamsol (I'm lovin' practicing on this technique)  The paper is K & Company and purple cardstock.   Used the MS Loopy Punch for the border, yellow loopy ribbon, and little tulips (2" and 2 1/2") from Walk in My Garden.

Little Miss Turtle

It's time for some spring colors, and at Practical Scrappers this week, it's time for white pens!   This is one of my favorite crafting tools...if you haven't tried it yet, you'll love it and use it for everything.

My little Miss Turtle is a digi stamp from The Stamping Boutique.   They have absolutely wonderful images at terrific prices.   Hop over!   I colored her with watercolor pencils, using several shades of each color and blending them.   I added some gems and buttons for dimension and used the white pen to highlight.  Added some flowers from Walk In My Garden, cut at 1/2" increments and layered.   I used the pen to doodle on the flowers too.  Added some ribbon and the sentiment is from Paisley.

Happy Spring!

Designed to Delight Digital Stamps  has a great freebie this week....and if you complete the challenge with the cute little free bunny, they'll give you more free stamps.   What a deal....and what a cute image!  Thanks for the great present!

I colored my bunny with colored pencils, using the Gamsol technique.  I love to do this, but I'm not so good at it.  I used a sketch from RAQ's challenge on the Cricut messageboard.  Embossed the peach cardstock with the basket weave folder.

Tweet Anniversary Card - Totally Papercrafts #5 and Pink Elephant #56

I just got Sweethearts, basically for this sweet little bird cut.   I've seen the cutest cards made from it and had to have it.   Then I saw the great sketch at Totally Papercrafts, and knew it was just the one for these little cuties.  And the challenge at Pink Elephant is Go Green - my favorite color.  I loved the great aqua/lime K & co paper for the background.

I cut the bird's nest at 3"...added layers....embossed the nest...and stuck it in a double layer circle - embossed.     Added some George flowers and a tourquoise bow.  Now I have an anniversary card to send to my aunt and uncle next week.
