Puppy birthday card.....High Hopes Stamps #31 - doodling

I adore High Hopes Stamps.....just haven't been stamping much lately. When I checked out their weekly challenge, I was delighted to discover that their theme (doodling) happened to match the card I spent the afternoon working on. No stamps on this one though....just Cricut.

Puppy is from Doodlecharms as well as the hat....all cut at 2 1/2" on shadow, regular, and layer. I then recut the layers at 3" to get bigger polka dots and parts. Embellished with chalk, glitter, and doodling! Paper is a Big Lots find.......sentiment is a rub-on.

Flower Basket

Quick birthday card.........used more George flowers ( I just love the dimension you get with these) Doodlecharms basket cut at 2 1/2" shadow, regular, layers. American Crafts ribbon is woven through the basket.......used an exacto knife to increase the size of the slots. Added blue trim....and paper was from the scrap drawer. Happy Birthday rub on.

Baby Shower gift enclosure

This is my first card with the New Arrival cartridge. Basically bought it for the animals (I love that monkey!), but I think I'm going to get quite a bit of use out of it for other things as well. This card is American Crafts (I love the scalloped edge...and the whole pack of 12 costs $2 at Big Lots) I ran it through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss dots folder. The baby is from NA (standing baby) cut at 2". Cut white diaper on shadow....added ink and colored her little "curl" on the top of her head. The flower fram is from Pooh and Friends....cut at 3 1/2" I put a George oval (embossed as well) behind it and embellished the flowers with some pearlized paint drops. Background paper was from the scrap pile.

Buzzin' By

A birthday card for my cousin (who's 40!!!) Pooh and friends bees cut at 2" and 1"....black design and yellow layers. I used crystal glitter for the wings. The hive is Pooh and friends cut at 3" ...shadow...regular....layers....inked. The daisies are George, cut at 1" triple layer and added yellow jewel. Paper is Hot Off the Press from Joann Fabrics.......I wish I had a ladybug cut. I'm going to save the rest of the paper until I buy Walk in My Garden. Ribbon from the closet and rub on sentiment. Inside says "Just Buzzin' By to say, Hope you have a happy day!"

Get Your Motor Running! Cupcake Crafts Challenge #38

Saturday is my Dad's 65th birthday. I wanted to make a car card as Daddy adores antique cards. I used Mickey and Friends car - cut at 3 1/2" with red, black, grey pearl, and black metallic cardstock. Added some black stickles to the headlights. I made the background paper from clip art; the route sign is clip art with a rub on on it. Dad is self-explanatory~

Cupcake Crafts Challenge was to use a number on your card - this one has "65" all over it!

Flowerpot card

This card was fun to make. Over at the Cricut messageboard, flowerpots are all the rage. This is my second attempt at one. The flowerpot is Pooh and Friends - cut on shadow, regular, and layer - I cut off the flower and inked edges. The flowers are George flower 2 cut at 1" - triple layered and put a rhinestone in the center. The bee is from Pooh too - cut in shadow on black, regular on black, and layers in yellow and grey pearl. Little rhinestone eye attached. The paper used is Daisy Buckets Sweet Marabella collection, and the pot is attached with pop dots.

I needed a shower gift card and tried another one....sentiment is George. I think this might be my new "go to" gift card. I really like how the white daisies turned out. I used George Flower 1 for them.

Cupcake Craft Challenge #37 - My mom's mother's day card

Cupcake crafts challenge #37 was to use 5 different embellishments on a card. I chose to try this on my mom's mother's day card. Background paper is DCWV. Everything on this card is George - the flower pot is made from two of the shape cuts-embossed with birds and swirls. The flowers are George flower 2....cut at 1 1/2" and 1"-inked and layered. The purple flowers are flower 2 folded around a toothpick. Lettering is George too. The little birdie is Stretch Your Imagination.

My 5 embellishments are 1) raffia 2) charm 3) buttons 4 ) rhinestones 5) square beads. There is also green wired ribbon used for stems on the flowers, but it all got covered up!
