Another Little Trick or Treat Bear!

I had fun the other night making little Trick or Treat bears. This one was inspired by the challenge at PaperCutz this week, which was to use a skeleton. I used the sketch from RAQ's challenge on the Cricut boards....and everything on here is from my leftover Halloween box. I seem to buy LOTS of Halloween scrappy stuff....and how much can you actually use? So that is my goal.....to use up some of it!

Boo to You!

I saw the cutest little clip art images of Halloween bears, and they so inspired me to try to reproduce them with my Cricut......not hard at all with George and Paper Doll Dress Up! I used George circles and ovals to construct my bear, clothes from Paper Doll's cut at 4 inches, and added some Cuttlebug embossing (Swiss Dots....sooooo my favorite!) to dress up my little witch. Finished it off with detailing pen, chalk, ink, and a little floss bow. Paper is from last year Martha Stewart Stack....I cut around the moon so it would work. Added Martha Stewart Checkerboard borders and little Spider Web corners. Sentiment and ribbon were bought at Hobby Lobby last year.

Be on the lookout for more little Halloween bears....coming soon!

Patchwork Pumpkin

Woo Hoo! I made another one! Two in one week is a roll for me.......and I have ideas for others. So maybe I'm out of that creative slump!

This card is made from 1 1/2" squares of cardstock, embossed, patched together, and connected with a black Sharpie. The pumkin, leaves, and acorns are from Create a Critter. Added some Creative Memories silk leaves and a jute bow. Details in marker....and a little bit of bling! A bit of a Fall patchwork jumble!

This card fits the Fantabulous Cricut challenge of leaves this week. I love Fantabulous Cricut and used to serve on their DT until my health caused me to quit. It also fits My Sheri Crafts Challenge of stitching, even if it is faux. If you've never been, hop on over to both places for great projects and tips.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Hello Bloggers! Well, it has certainly been a while for me doing any bloggin' or scrappin', but hopefully that is changing. I put together this card for my Mom's birthday today. It had been so long since I have scrapped that it took FOREVER! but I like the final outcome. Used ZooBalloo for the flower stem....Walk in my Garden for the flowers......a distressing embossing folder for the leaves....and Swiss Dots on the flowers with some ink. The sentiment is Stampin' Up on a Stampin' Up punch.....paper is ColorBok......and did I mention pop dots??? Well, I used a couple...or a few....or LOTS of those! And tied it all up with a little ribbon bow!

Here's the dimensional view:

Some news........

I've made some new decisions in my life........some because I want to and some because I have to. My scrappin' is an area that has definitely needed to be re-evaluated. I've had some health issues which have made scrappin' difficult at best, and due to this, I've resigned from all of my team memberships. But even more than that, I found myself not wanting to scrap from the pressure of having to make a certain project....by a certain due date...and good enough that the bloggin' world would like it. Compound that with not feeling well....and I just quit scrappin'. But I miss it.....so I'm back to doing it again. At least scrapbook pages. Cards take up lots of time, and frankly, I feel pressure for the cards to up to a certain standard. That takes away the fun. So for right now, I'm mostly scrappin' layouts, but if the mood hits me, I'll make a card or two. Thank you for your kind words and support in the past! I love my dear friends in the "bloggin'" world! Hugs and prayers people!

Most of my new work will be posted on my scrapbooking blog:
Scrap 4 the Memories.

A Trio of Little Grad Chicks

Still having problems, and not crafting much at all. But three of the girls on my daughter's basketball team graduated, so I made a few cards. Feeling not very creative, I used last year's design. Create a Critter "ducklet" cut at 3 1/4" with the grad cap from Everyday Paper Dolls, cut at Real Dial size 1 1/2". Used Martha Stewart scalloped card bases.....added paper and ribbon.....floss and bling. Inside says: Way to go Chick!

A Little Birthday Monster!

I actually made a card...... I can't believe it myself! This one was really kind of a "cheat" card because I used the card feature on the Mini Monsters Cartridge. He's cut from metallic green paper and all dolled up with bilngy rhinestones and metallic Jelly Roll pen details. Added just a touch of rickrack to finish him off. He's kind of inspired me to get back to crafting.....but first I have to clean up the messy scrappin' room!

I'm Wild......

about a couple of my young nephews. Today is a good day, and when it's good, I try to craft. Some days it works and others it doesn't.....but today was okay, and I got one Valentine made. I hate not to send them to my little nieces/nephews....and my 92 year old grandmother. But I haven't been able to craft, and I'm in serious trouble this year. Perhaps I'll get a few done anyway.

This card is copied from a child's Valentine card......card displays are great for inspiration. He's cuttlebugged and rickracked.......composed from George and Birthday Bash. Letters are little tiny stickers....my eyes really appreciated those for sure!

Bee Mine!

It's been waaaaay too long since I last crafted. Felt inspired today.....I think it was the sunshine. This is my version of this week's Jitterbuggin' challenge. Follow the sketch.....use stripes.....and something yellow! I used the little bee from Paisley....cut at 2 3/4" Wings are metallic blue and I added details with black/white pens and some dimensional paint. Scalloped circles (button from Paisley at 2 3/4" and 2 1/4") are embossed with polka dots......some doodling and pop dots. Background squares and the card are trimmed with my pinking edged shears......added plaid frame of purple ribbon. And just because it still didn't look quite right....and the sheet of rhinestone dots was in front of me.....I framed it out with them!

Wedding Wishes

My eldest nephew got married this past week-end, and here's the card I made for him and his lovely bride. I used Martha Stewart Punch Around the page Loopy Loo.....a Bildmarna stamp colored with Prisma/Gamsol....and MS heart punches, embossed with Swiss Dots. The flower embossing is Sizzix. I followed this week's Jitterbuggin' sketch.

Winter Warmies - my Toasted Marshmallow Snowman

The challenge at Fantabulous Cricut this week is Winter Warmies......and what could be warmer than a little toasted marshmallow snowman! The snowman is a freebie from Little Scraps of Heaven this week.....I added some Doodlecharms arms and a hat from Paper Doll Dress Up. Paper is from an old DCWV paper stack....added a little rick rack....and a pink stamp that shows up better in person. Embellies are MS snowflakes punch cut out of metallic paper. Sketch is Jitterbuggin' this week.

To enter at Fantabulous Cricut, include a Cricut cut of some winter apparel on your project. For Jitterbuggin', you can use this sketch, add something blue, and include something "snowy." This card also fits with My Sheri Crafts "Winter" theme this week.
