The challenge at Cricut Cardz was to use pink and green on a card........my favorite combo....so this was lots of fun! At Frosted Designs, you were to use concentric shapes....which I did with the background (rectangles) and the mat (squares). I used all scraps on this card...yeah! The snowfriend is cut at 3 1/2" and I just take parts I like from each one. I've also found that if you cut the hats 1/2" bigger they seem to do better. His little face is a Peachy Keen stamp (which I forgot that I had......) Added glitter, and ink, and buttons, and rhinestones......MS punch snowflakes with rhinestones (I didn't wait for the glue to dry....) and a computer generated sentiment. The mat is embossed with Swiss Dots.

Pumpkin with Flowers Birthday Card- Just Buggin'
Happy Birthday Jennifer! Used a sketch from the RAQ challenge on the Cricut boards....and lots of cricut on this one.Began with a 5" square card. Found some great background paper...cut it into a 4 3/4" square...divided it in half. Attached some ribbon to the center. Added a 3 1/2" scalloped square from New Arrival, which I embossed with the pumpkin folder but it doesn't really show up. I cut the pumpkin from PDDU at 3" real dial size....inked, embossed with the swirls folder, and doubled it with pop dots. The Flowers are the Daisy 2 cut from Walk in My Garden, cut at 1" and 1 1/4", shadow and regular...inked and added buttons for the centers. glued some to the front pumpkin and some to the card to get the dimension. Sentiment is "For You" from New Arrival.

The head is the bird head feature, cut at 2 1/2" real dial size with an orange beak. Cut the waddle at 2 1/2" with the turkey head feature. Added google eyes. The "head dress" is Doodlecharms eggs cut at 1" shadow. Sentiment is from Animal Kingdom...cut at 1 1/2" Everything is inked and doodled....and pop dots here, there, and everywhere.
Quilted Turkey - Frosted Designs November Card Sketch
Love the November sketches at Frosted Designs! I've always wanted to try a quilt card so here goes...great way to use up scraps. Background paper is Recollections. The frame is 3 1/2 x 5, punched with the MS Leaf border/corner set. The squares are 1 1 /4" , punched around them with my little awl used for stiching punches. Made a border at the bottom of the card and backed it with brown to make it show up. The turkey is PDDU, cut at 2", layered and pop dotted the feathers, chalked, inked, and penciled the turkey.....layered the legs/feet. Sentiment is stickers.

Merry Little Snowmen
Got the new Snowfriends cartridge....couldn't wait to try it. Love these little fellas, but they are cut at 2" and that is TINY! Embellished them with pencils, sharpies, chalk, and glitter. Added a little bling and a fuzzy pompon. Really want to play with this cartridge a little more. Snowflake border is MS punches cut on metallic paper with little jewels attached.

Doodlecharms Santa Card
I found a sketch I like for my Christmas cards, and the plan is one each day until I'm finished. This one is DCWV paper on the outside....wrapping paper on the inside. Cut off the bottom inch of the front to show the inside strip. The sentiment is framed with the MS loopy punch set, computer generated, and doodled. The trim is some Memory Maker's ribbon. The santa is Doodlecharms, cut at 2 1/2" on flesh blackout, red and white layers. I ran the white through the Cuttlebug with the Swirls embossing folder. Inked everything with Creamy Brown. Glittered all the red and white....inked and chalked the cheeks and nose....added google eyes....popped the moustache. Added a rhinestone button to the hat. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Frosted Designs Bling Challenge
Today is my sister's birthday and for her card I chose papers from a Colorbok set I found at Big Lots for $10!! HSN leftovers, I'm sure, but I loved it! Unusually, I used only papers from that set, and everything else came from that set too. Added some blingy rhinestones, used nesties to cut the ovals, and computer generated sentiment. No Cricut....that doesn't happen too often! And since the challenge at Frosted Designs was to use "bling", here it is!

Turkey Lurkey - Frosted Designs Challenge and Just Buggin'
The challenge at the Frosted Designs blog was to use brown, teal, and orange and Just Buggin' wanted you to use some sort of cricut animal....even a created one. I combined these with a sketch from RAQ's challenge at the Cricut messageboard. Paper is DCWV Indian Summer and Imaginesce. Used the MS leaf edging punch (boy, am I going to have practice with those things.) Recollections rub-on for the sentiment and side leaves.
Now for the turkey.....well, I never cared for any of the Cricut turkeys, although I have 4 of them. This one is constructed from George Circles (head and body), George hearts (feathers), and George triangles (nose and feet - hand trimmed) The top of his head is from the rooster on Animal Kingdom - trimmed - and the waddle is from Animal Kingdom's turkey. I inked it all.....used a colored pencil to add cheeks and accentuate around the edges.........doodled...and sharpied the eyes.

Squirrel Friends - Just Buggin' #11
Kinda "punny".....really didn't mean to be! Easy little card made out of Recollections Autumn stack.....little 1 1/4" squirrels from Animal Kingdom (shadow/regular/layer)**sharpied/inked** some Target rub-ons *I love the $1 bins* and some little tiny Doodlecharms leaves (1" and 1 1/4"....cut twice...pop dotted...inked)
Blingy Christmas Elf
Merry Christmas.....well, it's early, I know. But it's never too early to break out those Christmas scrappins'. This card is supposed to be based on a sketch (I can never get a card to fit a sketch... ughhh!). It is DCWV 2008 Christmas stack patterned paper....trimmed out with those wonderful red "bling on a roll" rhinestones (a Tuesday Morning find....three rolls for $3.....WOW!) Inside paper is American Crafts Christmas Party, cut into a circle with my MS circle cutter (I prefer that to Cricut circles....they come out "wonky" for some reason...) Edged the circle with MS snowflakes...white for one version with some glittery sparkle in the middle and red metallic for the other one. The package and the sentiment were some button tags from my stash. The elf is PDDU, cut in metallic, at 4". The details for him are somewhere in this blog under SWAPS or Cool Yule. He's just the basic cut though with hand drawn face, doodling, and marker made stripes on his stockings!

Fall Get Well Card
I'm really starting to get into fall themed stuff, and I needed a get well card....so here is the result! The paper is Recollections 8x8 Autumn stack which I think is going to be my favorite this season. Love the distressed edges. I used a sketch from Mojo Monday (more or less), the frame from Pooh and Friends, cut at 3" **lesson here......never cut that frame so small**....layered it with pop dots and backed it with some brown striped paper. The oak leaf is from Doodlecharms, cut at 2". Sentiment is hand lettered/doodled and tied it all together with some pieces of DCWV chipboard - Green Stack- which was wasting away in the closet- and a little grey bow.
