Patchwork Pumpkin

Woo Hoo! I made another one! Two in one week is a roll for me.......and I have ideas for others. So maybe I'm out of that creative slump!

This card is made from 1 1/2" squares of cardstock, embossed, patched together, and connected with a black Sharpie. The pumkin, leaves, and acorns are from Create a Critter. Added some Creative Memories silk leaves and a jute bow. Details in marker....and a little bit of bling! A bit of a Fall patchwork jumble!

This card fits the Fantabulous Cricut challenge of leaves this week. I love Fantabulous Cricut and used to serve on their DT until my health caused me to quit. It also fits My Sheri Crafts Challenge of stitching, even if it is faux. If you've never been, hop on over to both places for great projects and tips.

Bear in a Pumpkin Autumn Card

It's Challenge Me Monday over at Fantabulous Cricut, and this week the emphasis is on leaves. I made a cute little bear in a pumpkin from George circles and a Stretch Your Imagination pumpkin (embossed with swirls) . Attached him to a Paper Doll Dress Up fence and attached Doodlecharms oak leaves everywhere. All the paper was scraps......yeah!! The sentiment came out of my scrap embellishment box (things I've made that just didn't quite work out at the time...)

This is the smallest card I've made (4" square) and because everything was little, I thought pop dots really set it off. I think I used a whole package!!

Autumn Note Card

Just a quick little Autumn note card made from the sketch at RAQ's challenge this week on the Cricut boards. Used Doodlecharms eggs for the pumpkin-embossed with distressed stripes- and Doodlecharms leaves ran through the cuttlebug too. Below it is a picture of my Pumpkin Cream Cheese muffins I made for the local Fall Festival. Decorated the package with a Happily Ever After Pumpkin tag and some raffia. Don't forget to use that Cricut for lots of everyday projects. And if you're crafty with anything to do with food, hop over to Fantabulous Cricut this week for a fantastic challenge.

A Little Fall Hello - Jitterbuggin' #19

Here's this week's Jitterbuggin' card.....made out of Cloud 9 paper.....DCWV cardstock.....and cuts from Stretch Your Imagination and Create a Critter. Added embossing with the Distressed Stripes and Swiss Dots....a greeting from a $1 Michael's sticker.....and ribbon from Martha Stewart and American Crafts. The little leaves in the corners are a MS punch too. If you haven't done so, make a card for this week's Jitterbuggin' challenge. I'm also entering this card in Practical Scrappers stamp challenge too.

Fall Get Well Card

I'm really starting to get into fall themed stuff, and I needed a get well card....so here is the result!  The paper is Recollections 8x8 Autumn stack which I think is going to be my favorite this season.  Love the distressed edges.  I used a sketch from Mojo Monday (more or less), the frame from Pooh and Friends, cut at 3" **lesson here......never cut that frame so small**....layered it with pop dots and backed it with some brown striped paper.   The oak leaf is from Doodlecharms, cut at 2".   Sentiment is hand lettered/doodled and tied it all together with some pieces of DCWV chipboard - Green Stack- which was wasting away in the closet- and a little grey bow.

Auntumn Days

No more Halloween cards........let's move on to fall.  This card is from a sketch on RAQ's card challenge over at the Cricut messageboard.   I  used Doodlecharms for the basket, cut shadow/regular at 3".....layers in tan.....inked.   I enlarged the slits with an Exacto knife and added woven ribbon through it.  Little apples are Doodlecharms....cut at 1".....added ink and green acrylic paint for the leaves.   Attached with glue and layered with pop dots.   Added little buttons on the basket.  The pretty "shape" was one I had no cut for.....found one in my stash and drew a template.     Cutting by hand......yuck.....boy, do I love my Cricut.   Added some more ribbon, a bow, inked everything, and put on a rub-on sentiment.   Paper is DCWV Indian Summer. Ribbon is from Target's $1 bin.

Scarecrow with Sunflowers

My mom's birthday card....shhhh!!  Don't tell....

I made the scarecrow earlier in the week (details in the post below) and the fence was left over from a scrapbooking project (see http://scrap4thememories.blogspot.com/   Fall Fun!)
Anyway, attached two layers of fence with pop dots...added sunflowers cut from Walk In My Garden at 11/2" 1 1/4", and 2" on shadow, regular, glued together, inked, gold gel pen on some too.  Worked the sunflowers in between the fence layers (really happy with that look!)  Sentiment is George, (shadowed and doodled), paper is DCWV 2008 Fall Stack, and I've never used so much ink in my life....everything has it!

Scarecrow

I made this little guy to put on a card (which I am making today.)   He's cut on 3" blackout and I cut an extra head because I think it is easier to make the face on just the head.  His eyes are two hole punches, white and black, detailed with a white gel pen.  His nose is a handcut triangle....sharpie mouth...and orange chalk cheeks.  The hat is the fisherman's hat...cut in brown/green...layered and inked.  Attached rafia to the bottom and a 1" sunflower (shadow and regular, button attached) from Walk in my Garden.  The shirt is cut from the Garden boy in plaid, overalls are the railroad engineers (I wanted that center pocket), and the shoes are the farmers.  Attached little bits of rafia to the arms and legs.  Now to work on that card........

Fall Scarecrow Cupcake Craft Challenge #14

Cupcake Crafts Challenge #14
This card was from a sketch on Cupcake Crafts Challenge. I used DCWV paper, oval pumpkins from George (thanks Hallmark Ladies for the great tutorial!), and some stickers from the "closet." Trimmed it with rafia and a brad.
The idea came from the great daily challenge at Cricut.com - today was use brown, rusty orange, and light blue.

Savor the Season

Squirrels are one of my favorite animals. My grandfather loved them, and when I see one, I always think of him. While washing dishes this week-end, three squirrels were playing right outside my window, and I couldn't get them off of my mind....so I had to put one on a card!

Used animal kingdom for the squirrel (and I chalked him......something I'm not good at....but trying to learn) Leaves are from Doodlecharms, so are some acorns...others from SYI Added a couple of Queen and Co brads and a chipboard card And some ribbon which no card should be without!!!!

Fall Thank You Card

A thank you card I made for my dear friend who helped me so much last week while I was sick. I couldn't have made it without her help.

Paper Bo Bunny
SYI tree and pumpkins
Leaves Doodlecharms @1"

Thankful cut from a piece of DCWV
pop-ups, bronze gel pen

Inside says: Two people are better than one. They can help each other in everything they do. Suppose someone falls down, then his friend can help him up.
