I came up with this sock monkey design over a year ago for a layout, but I've never put him on a card. He seemed to fit several challenges this week so I pulled the instructions back out. The full details can be found on my scrapbooking blog here.
Paper is fabric from Love, Else....border and sentiment are stamped from a new pkg. I got for $1 at Big Lots yesterday. Balloons are from Everyday Paper Dolls.
This design fits several challenges:
Cricut Cardz Challenge make a child's birthday card
Fantabulous Cricut use the word birthday and balloons
Cookin' It Up with Katie use fabric (the striped background is adhered fabric paper from Love, Else) use decorative edge scissors and your favorite technique (paper piecing)
Raq's Challenge on the cricut msg board (sketch)
Use Your Paper Dolls Cartridge to create something (cricut msg board)
He's going to be my daughter's birthday card....she loves sock monkeys.

ReplyDeleteOh, I loved this on the cricut message board. As soon as I saw it I thought of the movie, "Mr. Magoriums Wonder Emporium." The little sock monkey that keeps trying to hug the mutant. It brought an instant smile to my face! Great card.
